Hi and welcome to “The Life & Thoughts of David a Petersfield SEO” or just David if it suits! This is my place to share my life; thoughts and sometimes imaginative ideas! I live in the Hampshire market town of Petersfield where I try and do search engine optimisation (SEO) for clients.

I was not going to mention what I do for a living on here, however it is part of my life so I guess it is important to mention it. Anyway, below you will find some things interesting; some things boring and the odd mention of SEO Petersfield; it is a habit I am afraid; I have spent too long writing content for websites to stop now!

(Updates) OK; a slight change! This was going to be a sticky post on the home page however I have decided not to do that; so it is actually now a bit of a nothing post; I will keep it on the site as I hate adding and taking away pages; it messes up the search engines.

So forget the word “below” in paragraph 2; there will not be anything else added to this other than the odd bit of live blogging should I take on anymore SEO work. I guess the title of this post; the Life & Thoughts of a Petersfield SEO should sit on the home page; maybe I will just link it to here?

I have now set up The 59p SEO Company and have started to expand out of Petersfield in more into other parts of Hampshire as can be seen by these recent twitter posts.

I have just checked out a few companies in Hampshire who still think that search engine submission is part of SEO! I have never submitted a website to the search engines and all the sites I have built have ended up in the search engine results pages (SERPS). Search engine submission is not part of SEO; it happens because of SEO!

SEO Petersfield: I have decided to go back into taking on clients again. Got my first one already, RentaSoota.

Alas RentaScoota did not last long as they questioned the amount of work I did in October; alas they dropped 40 places when I pulled the plug; proof of my work. But what really gripes me is the fact they were paying more for work done by a larger company who dropped their rankings (with me they went back to the top). This company did less than 4 hours work a month for them…
